James has been interested in performing arts from a very young age, singing in concerts at his primary school, but always refusing to sing a solo! James first performed in a theatre show in 2005, in the Scarborough YMCA Productions pantomime, Pinocchio, written by Kiel Richardson. He continues to perform at the YMCA in their shows throughout the year.
James has worked in many aspects of theatre, including summer seasons, variety, pantomime and cabaret. James has also performed in The Club for Acts and Actors (formerly The Concert Artistes Association) in London in October 2007 alongside Johnny Maxim, Mike Shannon, Kay Carman and Howard Layton. James has also appeared in a number of shows at Scarborough Spa Theatre with Kay Carman Productions, which has given James the opportunity to perform with The Bachelors, Andy Eastwood, Howard Beaumont and many others.
James will be producing and appearing in ‘The Magic Of The Musicals’ in 2010 for the second year running. This show will be showing at Scarborough YMCA Theatre in April 2010. Click here for more information.
Alongside his performing, James is a director of NAP Music, a music company responsible for supplying and producing the music for a large number of musical shows currently touring the UK, as well as supplying backing tracks to thousands of professional and amateur entertainers from all over the world.
James’ latest album, "Hello Again", features styles such as Musical Theatre, Swing and Easy Listening. You can hear samples and buy the CD from the "Online Shop" page.
